Computer Science minor
Degree description
The CS minor is suitable for majors in other disciplines
that are interested in a substantive computational foundation.
Please note, students must meet
the minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 to graduate with any major
or minor from the department.
Requirements
Minor in Computer Science
- CS 170 & 171: Introduction to Computer Science I & II
- CS 255: Computer Organization & Architecture I
- Two additional computer science courses at the 200 level or above
Minor in Computer Informatics
- Either CS 153: Computing for Bioinformatics – or
– CS 155: Introduction to Business Computing
- CS 170 & 171: Introduction to Computer Science I & II
- Any two from the following list:
- CS 370: Software Engineering with Practicum
- CS 377: Database Systems
- CS 378: Data Mining
