  • I do NOT intend to cover Java GUI programming in general

  • I will only cover enough components to do the JDBC project:

    JLabel to label the different areas in the GUI JButton to allow the user to press to activate certain functions JTextField to allow the user to perform single line input/output JTextArea to allow the user to perform multiple line input/output (with scrolbars)

  • Recall that a label is a box with some text

  • The swing class JLabel implements label objects

  • A label with the text "Text" is created as follows:

    JLabel labelObj = new JLabel("Text");
