Our first Putnam practice meeting!

These sessions will be 4pm-5pm Fridays in room MSC E306, if there is
enough interest.

We'll do introductions, and I (M Grigni) will give some general
information about the Putnam.  We'll also discuss the format for
future practice meetings.

For this meeting, we will at least look at the 2024 exam, and look at
some useful preparation materials.  Maybe we'll look at a few
problems, too.

Summary: five students attended, plus me and Sasha.
After some introductions and general discussion of the Putnam exam,
we tackled problem A1 from the 2024 Putnam exam. It went well.
For next meeting, students requested something on "probability".
